By now, almost everyone has heard of the controversy surrounding Paula Deen regarding using the “N” word many years ago. Some have asked, if all this ends up not being true does she have any recourse against the companies she has promotional deals, etc. with?
Unfortunately, Paula Deen will likely have very little recourse because a lot of entertainment contracts have clauses with regard to bad publicity and morals clauses which can allow them to be terminated. She also isn’t helping her case with the outrageous apology she made on NBC’s Today Show. She is investigating the employment discrimination claims.
