Recall of Infiniti Q45 Sedans

The maker of Infiniti luxury vehicles, Nissan, has recently issued a product recall of 1,349 Infiniti Q45 sedans. Vehicles made between 2003 and 2005 are suspected to be hazardous due to the potential issues presented by some of the seat-mounted dual front-side airbags in the cars. According to reports issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there is a problem with the wiring connection of the airbags in the affected vehicles; a problem that could lead to intensified electrical resistance which could cause failure in the front-side airbags when any type of crash calls for deployment of the safety airbags.

NHTSA has followed up its reports with statements indicating that no injuries have yet been caused by the defective airbags; however, that does not decrease their potential hazard. As such, the Nissan Company has taken swift action to recall the affected sedans and has offered to fix the wiring connectors for free. While many of the vehicles - up to 75% - have already been voluntarily fixed in a remedy that was offered between 2009 and 2010, there are still unsafe vehicles out there, which will need to be rectified before drivers can safely use their vehicles again.

If you have been injured in an accident in which your Infiniti sedan did not deploy the airbags, which could have prevented the injury then you may be able to take legal action. A North Carolina personal injury attorney from our firm can assess the situation and determine if the nature of the accident is one that would be helped by legal assistance. The same is true for any other type of accident and injury that may have been caused by a faulty or defective product that should not have been sold in the first place.

We are dedicated to seeing to it that victims of wrongful accidents are rightfully compensated for the harms that were done to them. For legal support and guidance from an associate at our firm, do not hesitate to contact a North Carolina defective product lawyer from Lanier Law Group, P.A. today.
