Foggy conditions are being blamed for the death of a man, E.S., last week in Anderson County, North Carolina. The 45-year-old victim was driving alone early Tuesday morning when his car went off the highway. When South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers arrived at the scene, they found the man deceased behind the wheel. Based reports from eyewitnesses, E.S. lost control of his vehicle and steered off the roadway. Then, his SUV struck several trees before coming to a rest. Police reported that E.S. was wearing his seatbelt at the time.
Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in this car accident. However, blood work will be taken to rule out intoxication as contributing factor.
