A police officer in Gaston County sustained minor injuries in a car accident last week. Fellow officers are still investigating the auto accident to determine exactly what happened and who was at fault. The female officer was in her patrol car when she lost control of her vehicle. She allegedly swerved across the road and drove into a power pole with such force that the pole actually snapped. The vehicle bounced off the pole and went into a building where it finally stopped. Significant damage was done to the building - it is uncertain as to how much it will cost to repair. News sources say that the female drive sustained just minor injuries during the collisions.
