Elderly Man Dies Behind the Wheel after Crash

An elderly man died behind the wheel last week in Rockingham County. Police are still investigating the accident to determine cause. According to the police report, 88-year-old F.C. was driving back from a doctor's appointment when he lost control of his vehicle. He slammed into three cars before his own vehicle flipped over into the side of a house. After the crash, F.C. was trapped inside and had to be rescued by paramedics. Although he was walking and talking directly after the auto accident, he died a few hours later due to massive internal damage.
