Drunk Driver Seriously Injures Bicyclist

One young man injured another last week when he decided to get behind the wheel intoxicated. He could spend months behind bars for causing serious injuries to the young bicyclist. According to police in North Carolina, R.E.C., a student at North Carolina State, was driving his vehicle late Tuesday night. At some point, he struck S.K.O., who was riding his bike near the campus. The bicyclist was thrown onto the ground and has reportedly suffered serious injuries as a result.

The driver was taken into custody on multiple DUI charges. His friend, 19-year-old A.L.M., was also arrested for providing alcohol to the driver. He was formally charged with aiding and abetting a minor in the purchase of alcohol and possession of an alcohol beverage as a minor.
