The parents of a young man killed have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the bar where their son was celebrating his 21st birthday the night before the accident occurred. The young man's parents have alleged that the employees of the bar acted negligently by failing to call 911 when their son needed medical attention.
The family believes that the young man was knocked out during a bar fight downtown and then dragged to the train tracks where he was struck and killed by a train. Police, on the other hand, say that they have found no evidence that would support a homicide case, though they also say that they are open to new leads regarding the young man's death. The owners of the bar have not commented on the lawsuit. It is believed that they will fight the charges in court.
