Two Military Members Hurt During Training

While members of the military are expected to be tough, accidents can and do happen.

Just last week at one military base, two men were injured while conducting routine jumps from a helicopter. The men were part of a training program that ensures proficiency at jumping from helicopters and planes, an exercise that should have been simple, but turned awry.

News sources say that one of the injured men was discovered lying unconscious on the ground. His accident is still under investigation as it isn't clear what happened to cause his unconsciousness since his parachute managed open in time.

The second man landed in a tree, receiving minor injuries that were treated at a nearby hospital. At this time, the identities of the victims have not been released to the media.

Both men are expected to make full recoveries.
