Wife Takes Action against Nursing Home Negligence

One widow is not letting the wrongful death of her husband just slip by unnoticed; she has decided to file suit against the culprit, Madison Manor.

According to the suit filed this month in the Madison Circuit Court, Donna Anderson is seeking restitution for the loss of her husband, Robert Anderson. Due to the nursing home negligence he experienced at Madison Manor, an untreated infection led to the amputation of his foot, and then eventually took his life. He had been a patient at the facility for just under two months when he became increasingly ill.

Anderson now claims that the home took contributed to the fast deterioration her husband's health, as well as caused "extreme pain and suffering, degradation, mental anguish, disability and disfigurement." She has levied the suit against the corporation that owns the home, as well as its administrator Tiffany Cox and five other unnamed defendants.

Her legal team is now seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as a jury trial.
