Woman Claims She Slipped and Fell in Nursing Home

While visiting her mother in a nursing home, Phyllis Baker alleges that she suffered injuries from a slip and fall accident.

Baker filed a lawsuit in the Harris County District Court this week against the Cedar Bayou Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. In the suit, she claims that on Jan. 23, 2010 she sustained injuries when the center failed to clean up water left on a hallway floor. The center, located at 2000 W. Baker Road in Baytown, failed to warn her of the possibility of danger, thus providing her with grounds to sue for negligence.

Represented by attorney Paul Klinger Jr., Baker is asking for general and special monetary damages, in addition to court costs.
