Driver Gets 20 Years for Fatal Car Accident

One man in North Carolina will spend the next twenty years in prison for causing a fatal car accident that took the life of a 56-year-old victim. When officers from the South Carolina Highway Patrol arrived at the scene on June 3, 2010, they found that the suspect, a 24-year-old male, had struck a second vehicle when he attempted to change lanes. In over-correcting the vehicle, the driver lost control of his SUV and ran into the second vehicle, killing the driver.

Although the victim was rushed to the hospital, he died several hours later due to extensive injuries caused by the auto accident.
