A truck accident stopped traffic for several hours along the North Carolina/South Carolina border last week. When an 18-wheeler overturned on the southbound lanes of I-95 highway patrolmen from both states were called in to help with the accident. While officers with the North Carolina Highway Patrol Crews were diverting traffic to the NC side of the border, crews came in shortly after to work on righting the truck and clear the roadways.
Although there were several reports of ice on the roadways right before the accident occurred, Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins was unable to state that the truck accident was indeed caused by the ice.
Luckily no other vehicles were involved in this accident. Furthermore the driver did not sustain any serious injuries, although Collins was also unable to comment about his injuries.
