Teenage Boy Killed in Tragic Car Accident

Tragedy struck in Catawba County this weekend when a teenage boy lost his life in a car accident.

The accident, which happened around 4 a.m. on Mt. Beulah Road, took the life of Jordan Bone, 17, when the car she was riding in crashed into a tree. At the time, it was being driven by 20-year-old Tyler Good whose vehicle went off the side of the road; when he overcorrected the swerve, the vehicle went straight into a tree. Good, along with a second passenger, were quickly transported to Carolinas Medical Center.

Hospital staff has deemed Davis to be in stable condition, while Good remains in critical condition.

According to North Carolina Trooper Lineberger, neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to have played a part in this tragic crash. Speed seems to be the primary factor, however, as Good was driving 70 mph in a 45 mph zone.
